These Total Cost Involved offset shafts are designed with 4 degrees of increased castor for improved stability. This increases the steerings self centering capabilities which is typically reduced by installing modern stearing gears or racks. They can also be a cure for the very common Tri 5 "frame spread" which just naturally occurs in these cars over time. These shafts often improve or allow the vehicle's stock alignment settings to be implemented.
